ArtsNOW to Host Presentations and Panel Discussions on 2/8/11 on the Arts in Education, Featuring Prominent Education Experts

ArtsNOW, a nonprofit organization committed to improving education, will host two events on February 8, 2011 designed to give members of Atlanta’s business, political, and education communities the opportunity to engage in an open discussion with national education leaders about why the arts are critical to student success.

“The Value of the Arts in Learning”

7:30 – 9:00 a.m.

Georgia Public Broadcasting Studio C, 260 14th St. NW, Atlanta, GA, 30318

This event will kick off with welcoming remarks from Ann Cramer, Chair of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and Director of IMB Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs for North America. Anne Ostholthoff, Founder of ArtsNOW, will then offer a presentation on the compelling results of integrating creativity and the arts into every aspect of learning. This brief presentation of results, inspired by Irene Munn of the Georgia Office of the Lieutenant Governor, will be followed by an open discussion with a national education panel featuring some of the country’s most respected leaders in innovative education.
